Branchbrook Park Cherry Blossom Bike Tour

Sunday April 10 at 1pm in Newark
This is an easy 9 mile non-race is perfect for a family outing. Plus, what better way is there to see the cherry blossoms at Branchbrook in full bloom? This year they have even changed the route to make it easier for kids with trikes (no lifting bikes over railroad tracks). The event is FREE, although a $5 per person donation is suggested.

Jungle Habitat Kids Race

Saturday April 30 at noon in West Milford
It’s time to rumble in the jungle! The 3rd Annual Kids Mountain Bike Race offers exciting and fun race courses for kids of all ages, mountain bikes not required!  There are three sets of races divided by age for kids in K-5th grade, with girls starting one minute behind boys. $10 entry fee per kid. Medals and prizes for champions!

Bulldog 6th Annual Kids Mountain Bike Race

Saturday May 7 at noon in Andover
Kids in K-5th grade take on Kittatinny Valley State Park with some exciting mountain biking race courses. Mountain bikes not required and boys and girls races may be combined if there is a smaller group of kids. $10 entry fee per child. Awards for all participants and medals for all champions.

Go the Distance for Autism Family Bike Event

Sunday May 15 at 11am in Allendale
Aside from riding for a good cause, this event caters to young kids and kids with autism. At 11am there is a leisurely 3 mile “loop” ride for families with young children in addition to entertainment, food, inflatable rides, and games. Kids 10 and under are free with no registration fees. Adults have a $25 per person registration fee plus $125 fundraising goal. Family registration is $30 for 3 or more family members with a $250 minimum fundraising goal.

Hilltop Grasshopper Kids Bike Race

Saturday August 20 at 9am in North Caldwell
This kids-only mountain biking event is perfect for young biking enthusiasts in K-6th grade. Kids race around a 0.6 mile loop and are divided by age category with 5th and 6th graders doing up to 4 laps. $10 per child.
