We’ve got some wonderful events lined up for you this weekend! From a picnic with teddy bears, to helping to find lost ladybugs there is something for everyone to enjoy! Read on to see where you and your family can have fun this weekend.

Saturday, July 30

Annual Picnic in the Park with Fireworks: Baldwin Day

Admission: Free
Bring the family out to enjoy Baldwin Day at the annual picnic in the park with fireworks at Baldwin Park. This event features games, face painting, pony rides, an animal exhibit and so much more! Delicious food and live entertainment also await you this weekend at Baldwin Day. Take part in the raffles with a chance to win fun prizes and stay late on for the free concert in the park from 7pm-9pm. The fireworks show will start promptly at 9:15pm.

Greenport Skate Park invites you to their Skate Park Festival and Fundraiser in Greenport this Saturday. Live music, skating activities, raffles and prizes are also featured at this festival. All proceeds go towards the renovation and expansion project for the Greenport Skate Park.

Lost Ladybug Project

Admission: $5, Free for children under 16
Your help is needed this weekend at the Quail Hill Farm to help find "lost ladybugs"! You will help to find and identify the ladybugs and then set them free. You will be a part a scientific mission as you help to collect data to send to the University for research. Bring sunscreen, an old white pillowcase, and a digital camera if you have one. They will serve refreshments.

Bring you favorite stuffed animal for a fun picnic this Saturday at Old Westbury Gardens. Held in the Cottage Garden, this picnic will have fun crafts and games and yummy finger foods. Be sure to register in advance.

Come to the Quogue Wildlife Refuge this Saturday to learn all about bugs! Investigate and discover a variety of insects, find, identity and observe nearby bugs. Reservations are required. For ages 8-12.

Get your hula hoop on this weekend at the Long Island Children’s Museum! Join LICM as they encourage kids to hula hoop for health and then create a special hula salad!

Go back in time to the 1930’s at the Living History Tour at the Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium. Volunteers dress in 1930’s attire take guests on a tour of the museum. Famous family guests are known to show up and be a part of the tour!
