Play Fair: Where Kids Can Discover Toys of the Future
This post is sponsored by Play Fair.
Imagine a place where all the world's toy makers get together to show off the brand new, not-on-the-shelves-yet toys they've invented to wow children of all ages. Sounds like heaven for kids, doesn't it? That's what Toy Fair is, but until now it's always been a strictly business, adults-only event. Well, all that's about to change with Play Fair, an awesome, two day toy fair especially for kids and families. On February 13 and 14, at the Javits Center, families can check out all the latest games and toys, plus tons of live entertainment and some special appearances. Toy Fair may just be the closest thing to a Willie Wonka world for toy-loving kids.
Presented by LEGO and Nickelodeon, Play Fair features toys by Hasbro, Mattel, Cartoon Network, Crayola, Toys ‘R’ Us, Razor, Shopkins and more. With hands-on exhibits, awe-inspiring displays, dozens of toy and entertainment brands and never-before-seen exclusives, families can feel, touch and take home their favorite toys and games — and be the first to glimpse the toys of tomorrow.
At the Nickelodeon booth, kids can climb aboard Paw Patrol’s lookout tower and slide down in victory, race around Axle City and sit in a life-size Blaze Monster Truck for a digital ride, get “Genie-fied” with exclusive, not-yet-for-sale Shimmer & Shine costumes and more. There will also be plenty of photo ops with characters from PAW Patrol, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, SpongeBob SquarePants, Peppa Pig, Dora, Power Rangers and PJ Masks.
The Toys 'R' Us stage is scheduled to host celebrity appearances, screenings and exciting toy unboxings, giving kids the chance to check out toys that haven’t been released to the public yet. And the LEGO booth will be around all weekend for engaging experiences, including the LEGO Race Ramps, where kids can build their best LEGO car and race their friends; LEGO Art Gallery, where kids can create a LEGO masterpiece and display it in the art gallery; and LEGO Duplo for younger builders to build with and explore. On Saturday, February 13, LEGO MASTER Builder Erik Varszegi shares his techniques for building the perfect LEGO creation.
If that’s not enough to wow them, kids can also get a first look at the new Batmobile from the upcoming film, Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, create with new toys from Crayola, test out the newest scooters from RAZOR, make comics with award-winning comic creators, see Thomas & Friends and catch a live performance by the Story Pirates.
Tickets are $30 and children 2 and under are free, with family discounts also available. Play Fair is also offering our first 200 readers who buy a ticket a free Shopkins Season 3 five-pack. Simply enter code ShopkinsMP at checkout.
