Black Friday Drop-Off Camps for Kids in Rockland and Orange Counties

Sure, the kids are off from school, but that doesn’t mean you’re off from work. Or maybe you want to take advantage of some of those Black Friday deals without dragging the kids through the mobs—and who can blame you? 

We’ve collected details about the drop-off camps being held in Orange and Rockland counties, all of which provide kids with way more fun than long lines and irritated shoppers. Art Adventure – Orangeburg
This camp, which is best for kindergarteners through 4th grade, will entertain kids with art activities and art-related games. You can choose half 9am to 1 pm for $50 or 9am to 4pm for to $75. Pizza, drinks and snacks will be provided. Registration is required. 

Bricks4Kidz – New Windsor
This mini camp for Lego lovers will be open from 8am to 8pm; you can pay $10/hour or $25 for a 3-hour block (no pun intended). In addition to Legos, kids will be able to play Minecraft and board games, and watch Lego movies. It’s best for ages 4 and older. Popcorn will be provided; you’re welcome to bring your own food. Register by Nov. 16 to receive an extra hour for free.  

Frozen Ropes – Chester 
Frozen Ropes will be holding a series of baseball and softball clinics, capped off with an hour of dodgeball, from 10am to 2pm. Each session is $12 and one hour long. Registration is required.   

Boys & Girls Club – Circleville
Although you need to be a member to participate in this camp, paying the $35 registration fee will cover the entire year. The Black Friday camp will be $15 if you register at least two days in advance, $20 if you drop-in. Camp is open from 7am to 6pm, making it one of the more viable option for working parents (and most affordable for any schedule). Activities include playing in the gym and outside (weather permitting), cooking, art projects and Wii Sports. Grades K-8 are accepted. A snack is provided, but kids should bring a lunch. 

Primo Sports – Florida 
Kids ages 5-14 can play both team and playground sports at Primo, as well as have dance contests and lip synch battles. 9am to 3pm is $35, while 9am to 12 pm is $25. Early drop-off and late pick-up are also available for an extra fee.  Reservations are recommended but drop-ins are permitted. Lunch isn’t provided, but you can buy snacks from the snack stand. Art Buzz Kids – Warwick 

Art Buzz Kids – Warwick
Pint-size Picassos will work on one painting (“Tuxedo Penguin”) and various crafts at this $40 11am to 3pm class. Registration is requested. Best for ages 5-12. Snacks are not provided but kids are welcome to bring one.
