Looking for the best things to do in Dallas this weekend? Here are our picks for the coolest family-friendly events and activities to add to your list for this weekend.

It's the first weekend of December, and honestly, choosing between all the holiday events and things to do in Dallas will be tough. Luckily, there's something for every type of family! If you love ballet but know your little ones can't sit through a full production, Avant Chamber Ballet's The Nutcracker: Short & Suite in Dallas' Arts District is just the ticket.

For those who want to enjoy the brisk winter weather, head up to McKinney for Holidays at the Heard, and if you've got a kid obsessed with all things that "go," head to Park Cities for Santa Day at the Frontiers of Flight Museum, as it's been rumored that the jolly guy in red plans on dropping in by way of a helicopter!
