Leu Gardens' Glass in Flight 2 Ascends to New Heights
Leu Gardens invites families to immerse themselves in the enchanting world of its Glass in Flight 2 exhibit, on display now through May 12, 2024. This mesmerizing outdoor attraction showcases 28 sculptures of flying insects and birds, skillfully crafted by renowned artist Alex Heveri. Using colorful glass and powerful steel, Heveri's innovative technique captures the essence of flight, set within the idyllic Leu Gardens.

Kids will enjoy finding special butterflies throughout the gardens.
What sets this exhibit apart is how sunlight filters through the glass, casting beautiful colors that mimic the wings of insects and birds and provide an illusion of movement. It's a sight that will captivate visitors of all ages.
For young explorers, there's even more fun to be had with a butterfly hunt. Equipped with a map, kids can embark on a quest to find 20 hidden butterflies throughout the Gardens, adding an extra element of excitement to their visit. Be sure to also visit the butterfly garden for the chance to observe live butterflies in their natural habitat.
Families participate in crafts centered on the amazing glasswork on Family Exploration Day.
Mark your calendars for Family Exploration Day on April 20, 2024. During this event, children can enjoy hands-on activities inspired by the artwork in the Gardens. It's a great way to learn about nature while having fun, all included with admission.
Leu Gardens also offers a variety of monthly events such as Movie Nights, Story Time, and Free Entrance Days, ensuring there's always something exciting happening for families to enjoy.
Please be aware that the café and gift shop are currently undergoing renovations. However, you are welcome to bring outside food, and picnicking in the gardens is encouraged. We recommend allocating approximately two hours for your visit to fully enjoy the exhibit and the beauty of the gardens.
