The unofficial kick off of summer starts this weekend. From fun festivals and tooting trains to air shows and parades, we’ve got some amazing events that you’ll want to be a part of this Memorial Day weekend. In addition to some festivities, we have also found events where you can honor the brave men and women who proudly serve our county. Saturday, May 28

Old Westbury Gardens Long Island Mozart Festival

Come and enjoy the sights and sounds as Old Westbury Gardens hosts the Long Island Mozart Festival. This outdoor events welcomes music lovers of all ages as the Gardens pay tribute to Mozart and his brilliant compositions. Be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating on the lawn.

This year marks the 8th year that planes fill the sky to salute all the brave men and women who have served our country. Participants in this year’s events from the US Airforce include the F-22 Raptor and the A-10 Thunderbolt II. Also in the lineup are military and aerobatic performers who are sure to perform dazzling feats and amazing wonders in the air! Be sure to arrive early and bring beach towels or chairs.
