Central Park Winter Jam We haven't gotten much snow this year, but Central Park is making up for it with the Central Park Winter Jam. There will be snowboarding competitions, live bands and a snow flume with sledding for kids over 5 years and loads of snow to play. Expect this to be a big event with BIG crowds. RAY is a singer/songwriter who has been performing for children for 14 years. Prior to that, he performed as Ray Andersen and toured with Meatloaf as lead guitarist, keyboardist and vocalist. He has performed with Bon Jovi, Springsteen, Matchbox Twenty, to name a few. Now, he performs for his most special audiences ever - KIDS! Catch his free kids concert at Chelsea Market this Sunday or at Bowery Kids March 30. Mr. Ray Free Concert Chelsea Market 75 9th Ave. (bet. 15th and 16th Streets) Sunday, Feb 10, 10:45 - 12:00 p.m. FREE BPC Valentine Workshop BBook of Love: Children and adults can team up to make a miniature valentine book for a loved one this Saturday. The Battery Park City Parks Conservancy, hosts wonderful events led by terrific artists. This is afternoon of crafts in which kids can transform unusual papers, recycled materials, and other things into valentines, along with the help of book artist Esther K. Smith.
