Central Park Winter Jam We haven't gotten much snow this year, but Central Park is making up for it with the Central Park Winter Jam. There will be snowboarding competitions, live bands and a snow flume with sledding for kids over 5 years and loads of snow to play. Expect this to be a big event with BIG crowds. The Battery Park City Parks Conservancy, hosts wonderful events led by terrific artists. This is afternoon of crafts in which kids can transform unusual papers, recycled materials, and other things into valentines, along with the help of book artist Esther K. Smith.
