After landing at the Punta Cana International Airport, we had a quick, 20-minute car ride to the resort. This is awesome - my family is big on not wasting precious vacation time!

Like any all-inclusive resort, the rates will vary depending on when you travel. According to Punta Cana Adventures, "You can save money on accommodations when visiting Punta Cana by booking outside the peak tourist season, from October to December or April to September." The winter months are their high season, so travelers looking to book in January, February, and March will see more expensive rates.

Accommodations at Sunscape Coco Punta Cana 

When Sunscape Coco became part of Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection in 2023, it underwent a glow-up, and it shows.

Families choose from a variety of different levels of rooms, from a basic room with two queen beds, all the way to a deluxe family suite. We stayed in a standard room and found it more spacious than typical hotel rooms. The best part about Sunscape's accommodations is that most of the rooms provide full or partial ocean views or even oceanfront views. 

This awesome pool and waterslide are where we spent a lot of time.

Beach and Pools at Sunscape Coco Punta Cana 

The resort sits on the pristine Bavaro Beach in Punta Cana. Literally on the beach; you can go right from the pool to the beach and back again. It has everything you imagine in your ideal beach dreams—white sand, blue water, and palm trees. Even better, we had no trouble finding seats for relaxing. 

We spent most of our time at the pools, of which there are seven. This includes a kids' splash pool and a pool with two water slides. The main pool is where all the action is, with staff engaging the guests in games and dances.

Kids and Teen Clubs at Sunscape Coco Punta Cana 

Kids staying at Sunscape have access to the Explorer's Club for Kids, which offers supervised activities for ages 3-12, including arts and crafts, movie nights, and an outdoor playground. For tweens and teens, Sunscape offers the Core Zone Teens Club, where teens can hang out, watch movies, and play games like darts, ping pong, and air hockey.

Dining at Sunscape Coco Punta Cana 

The resort offers twelve dining options, so families never have to eat the same thing. Some highlights for us were Chopsticks, featuring a hibachi experience; Tierra, with all-you-can eat meat, and Coco Cafe; where we loved getting fancy coffee drinks and pastries any time of day. We also got to enjoy Le Petit Chef Dining Experience, a truly unique offering, with a virtual little chef who danced around and entertained the kids with mischief during dinner.
