Looking for the best things to do in Atlanta this Martin Luther King Jr. weekend? Here are some family-friendly events and activities to add to your weekend list!

Atlanta families can look forward to a well-deserved long weekend with lots of options for quality time and fun. MLK Day celebrations are especially abundant in Atlanta since our city is the birthplace of Dr. King. Families can honor his legacy by participating in service projects, attending celebrations such as MLK Day at the Atlanta History Center or participating in virtual events through The King Center.

If your kids haven't had the pleasure of ice skating this season (or want to do it again), this is the final weekend for many of our fave rinks like Skate the Station at Atlantic Station and Avalon on Ice. Feeling a little more indoorsy this time of year? We have a great list of indoor pools and water parks throughout Atlanta where your family can swim and splash all winter long!

Be sure to check with the venue for its COVID guidelines and requirements before heading out to any event. Some events are getting canceled or postponed at the last minute due to the latest COVID surge.
