Activate is a 12,525-square-foot space filled with high-tech games that test physical and mental agility. You are immersed in realistic arcade games and compete or collaborate alongside the rest of your group. Activate Atlanta features 14 activity rooms with over 500 different games and difficulty levels, each lasting one to three minutes.

How Do You Play Games at Activate?

Activate has many fun games, including basketball hoop-based games, laser dodging and shooting games, and dance-style games. The screens at the doorways are intuitive, and staff helps you get started by scanning your wristband and selecting games and levels. Different rooms have a range of games that start 'easy;' you unlock harder levels through play. We didn’t wait long for any room, because once you scan your wristbands at the entrance, the people in the room can no longer “replay,” and you will be inside and having fun in a couple of minutes. The leaderboard for current players and monthly scorers adds a fun, competitive element.

Like my son said, Activate is a great Atlanta birthday party place for kids over the age of 10. Rent a lounge by the hour, which includes two tables and comfy lounge seating, and where you can bring in food (there are a variety of nearby Buckhead restaurants).

Know Before You Go: Activate Atlanta 

• $24.99 per person on weekdays and $29.99 per person Friday - Sunday (and holidays). Save 10% with the code POPPINS10 through November 6, 2024! 
• The minimum age to participate at Activate is age 6. Children ages 6-10 must have an accompanying adult in the game area; children ages 11-13 must have an adult present in the facility during the entire gaming experience.
• Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations can be made in advance and are highly encouraged. Sign a waiver in advance to save time on entry.
• A booking can be canceled or moved with at least a 48-hour notice.
• A minimum group of two people is needed to play. Games are played in groups of 2-5; if you have 6 or more people, visitors can split into smaller groups.
• The full gaming duration lasts 75 minutes, so allow 90 minutes-2 hours for your outing.
• Activate uses flashing lights, loud music, and fog as part of game play.
• Use restrooms BEFORE you scan your first room to avoid wasting time once the game clock starts ticking.
• There are no refreshments available for purchase in the venue; bring a water bottle to refill at the water fountain station.
• Wear athletic clothes and close-toed shoes. 
• Free parking available outside the venue.
