Moms and dads like planned trunk or treat events and candy strolls as alternatives to tailing their little ghouls and monsters around dark streets on Halloween night. And why drive from one Halloween-loving neighborhood to another for kids to fill their boo buckets and candy bags when families can do it all in one stop? Especially when these events are often more than vehicles with Halloween decorations, lights, and tons of candy. This year, families can go trunk-or-treating and see a Thriller flash mob in New Milford, be part of a scarecrow contest in Bristol, watch a parade first in Taftville, or clap for fireworks in Colchester. Every year, Connecticut adds more cool trunk-or-treating events because they make trick-or-treating easy and special.
