Little Red Lighthouse Festival this Saturday

9/14/07 - By Anna Fader
The Little Red Lighthouse may be one of those New York sites that everybody thinks how nice it would be to go, but never quite finds enough of a reason to trek up there to see it. Charmingly romanticized in the children's book The Little Red Lighthouse and the Great Gray Bridge, NYC's only remaining lighthouse is having it's day this weekend. At the 15th Annual Little Red Lighthouse Festival kids will enjoy hayrides, face painting, the antics of a stiltwalker, live music, and celebrity readings of Hildegarde Swift’s classic story which made the lighthouse famous. Kids will also have the rare opportunity to go inside and get a tour. So maybe this is the time you'll actually get up there to see it. 12PM-5PM Saturday, September 15th, 2007
