LEGO Classes and Activities in New Jersey

Yes, they don't feel great when you step on them in your bare feet, but other than that, who doesn't love LEGOs? From confidence building to fractions, creativity to party-play, to the plain old joy of building something cool, the world of LEGOs continues to grow in popularity.  Based on the famous LEGO brick, these New Jersey activities and classes combine play time with learning. So put on your shoes and head out for fun!

 

Bricks 4Kids (Hoboken, NJ)  Hoboken based Bricks 4Kids hosts hands-on classes where students will design and build machines, catapults, pyramids, derby cards, buildings and other constructions out of LEGO® bricks for children 3-13. Building Kidz (Livingston, NJ)  Located in Essex County, Building Kidz offers LEGO Robotics classes, as well as after-school enrichment classes, summer camps, birthday parties and coaching. Children will learn computer programming, engineering and teamwork while working with LEGOs. (973) 800-0100

Cresskill Performing Arts (Cresskill, NJ)  The Cresskill Performing Arts hosts a weekly Creative Legos Workshop for children ages 5-9. Class size is limited to 12 students. (201) 390-7513

Snapology (Little Falls, NJ) The newest addition to the garden state Lego world is Snapology. Located in Little Falls, this facility offers class, birthday parties, after-school programs, open play, scouting events and summer camp options. Owner Donna Meccia says “At Snapology, we host birthday parties, summer and school vacation camps.  We also offer classes:  Jr. Creators Club is for ages 2-5. Yellow Belts goes from 4-6. Morris Museum (Morris, NJ)
Morris Museum’s Art of the Brick exhibit will return in November 2013. This showcase highlights Nathan Sawaya’ award-winning large-scale sculptures using only toy building blocks, LEGO  bricks. (973) 971-3700
