Academy Museum Drop-in Workshops for Teens
- see all dates
The Academy Museum's Education team invites teens to join museum educators on the third Friday of every month for free drop-in workshops. Participants can be inspired by the museum’s exhibitions and screenings, explore the museum, hang out, and get creative.
How dramatic: January's Drop-in Workshop for Teens looks at acting.
Teens can learn about the craft and techniques of acting. Participants find out what goes into preparing for an audition, exploring one's take on a character, and working through nerves.
Looking ahead, February's workshop focuses on cinematography.
Event meets in the Shirley Temple Education Studio on the museum’s Lower Level. Workshops are designed for teens ages 14 and up. Snacks are provided.
All workshops are free with museum admission and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Museum admission is free for youth ages 17 and under.
