Free 2nd Sunday at PAM: Silk Road
Pasadena's museum honoring all things Asian opens its doors for free on the second Sunday of every month.
November's event marks its fourth annual celebration of the Silk Road. This year's event highlights the importance of food and spice trade along the ancient route.
Guests can enjoy creating their own food sculpture, learn to paint with spices, experience traditional Chinese dance and music, hear stories, and learn about the history of tea on the Silk Road in a special tasting workshop.
The Crossroads: Exploring the Silk Road Gallery is open for viewing, as is the special exhibition, Cai Guo-Qiang: A Material Odyssey. Timed tickets required for entrance into the exhibition. 60 minute time slots offered. Reservations are highly recommended. Limited same-day tickets are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Check out other free museum days in LA and OC.
