The swallows aren't the only thing that come back to Capistrano every year:  the dazzling light display Capistrano Lights returns for 2024.

Orange County's only Mission is lit for the holidays, inviting families to experience the Mission by day and at night with a nightly tree lighting and candlelit music program.

Capistrano Lights admission includes:

  • Daytime admission to the Mission (10am -7pm)
  • Capistrano Lights Audio Tour

as well as the Holiday Programming from 3pm - 7:30pm:

  • Christmas tree lighting with music (5pm)
  • Performances by Dickens-era carolers  
  • Selfies with Santa 
  • Large scale Nativity in the ruins of the Great Stone Church
  • The Mission in Lights

In addition, the Serra Chapel is open and there are extended holiday shopping hours in the Mission Store.
