NOTE THAT THE 2016 EQUESTFEST HAS BEEN CANCELED. The outbreak of a deadly horse virus at the LA Equestrian Center has caused the event to be canceled for the first time. The event website has a full announcement.

Burbank's famous Equestrian Center hosts the many equestrians participating in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, at an annual show highlighting the groups' parade performances. The horses and riders perform drills, dances, and trick riding from 12n-2pm; be prepared to leave humming that old Budweiser Beer Clydesdale tune.

Visitors are invited to meet the horses and riders after the show; visiting the stalls offers an opportunity to learn about the tack and the many different breeds, plus take advantage of some one-of-a kind photo opportunities.

Food and beverage concessions are available on site. Equestfest takes place rain or shine.

We count this event as one of the 100 things SoCal kids should get to do before they grow up - it's a real treat and a great way to see the best of the parade without braving the crowds!
