Hotels with Pools in Washington, DC with a Daily Pool Pass Option

1. Deck 11 Rooftop at YOTEL

If you're looking for a pool outing with a little luxury, Deck 11 at YOTEL is the place to go. It offers spacious cabanas, a full-service bar and seating area, and a rooftop view. Non-hotel guests can purchase a daily pool pass on the website, which provides all-day access to the rooftop and pool and free towels. Drinks and light bites are available for purchase. The sun chairs are first-come, first-served, but cabanas can be reserved online. The pool is open daily from 8am to sunset.

2. The Ven at Embassy Row

This rooftop pool has an amazing view and is in a great location near Dupont Circle, right next to Embassy Row. The pool is on the smaller side, but it has a nice lounge area for relaxing with shaded tables and couches as well as cute cabanas and poolside drinks. A daily pool pass provides access for the whole day and includes towels, a canned welcome cocktail for the grown-ups, and discounted valet parking. If you want to save money, go on a weekday. 3. Montgomery County Recreation Outdoor Pools

Montgomery County Outdoor Pools include seven swimming pools offering walk-up pool access with no reservation needed (though they may turn you away if a pool reaches capacity). The pools are free for Montgomery County residents, while non-residents must pay a daily fee.

Bethesda Outdoor Pool is a large pool with lap lanes, diving boards, a slide, a separate tot pool, a snack bar, and shaded areas.

Germantown Outdoor Pool has two water slides and two crosswalk features plus a tot pool, a snack bar, and lawn areas.

In Silver Spring, the Long Branch Outdoor Pool has a tot pool and diving boards, and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Outdoor Pool has a lazy river and a shallow water lagoon with slides and water play.

Gaitherburg's Upper County Outdoor Pool has a shallow water area for kids with a water slide and a separate tot pool.

In Poolesville, the Sarah E. Auer Western County Outdoor Pool features a splash pad, an activity pool with two flume slides, and a separate shallow kids' area with fountains, sprays, and kiddie slides.

And in Wheaton, kids can enjoy many of the same features as the Western County Pool at the Sergeant Hector I. Ayala Wheaton/Glenmont Outdoor Pool.

4. Rockville Swim & Fitness Center

This fitness center offers lots of amenities for families, including two outdoor swimming pools (one for lap swimming and the other for recreation). The recreation pool has an open play area, in-water basketball, a kiddie pool with fountains and a sprayground, showers, changing areas, and a snack bar. Purchase a daily pool pass for under $10.

5. City of Alexandria Outdoor Pools

Non-resident guests of Alexandria city pools can get a daily pool pass for the three outdoor pools at a low rate. Memorial Pool at Charles Houston Recreation Center—a smaller pool with zero entry and spray features—is perfect for families with young children. Warwick Pool is another smaller pool that's good for younger kids because of its depth range of zero to five feet and the adjacent Landover Street Playground. Old Town Pool is a larger swimming pool with a diving board, lap lanes, and a separate tot pool.

6. Larry Weeks Community Pool — Warrenton

This outdoor swimming pool in Fauquier County has great daily rates and lots of fun features for kids. These include a large family pool and a separate zero-entry wading pool for kids 6 and under with a showering mushroom, a squirting turtle, fountains, bubblers, and a frog slide.  

7. Franklin Park Pool — Purcellville

Loudoun County's Franklin Park Pool has a large covered water slide and a separate zero-entry kids' play area with fountains and slides. There is also a picnic area, a lap pool, and plenty of lounge chairs. Rates are low for a daily pool pass; children 2 and under are free.

8. Prince William County Pools

Prince William County has three outdoor swimming pools that currently offer a daily pool pass option. At Birchdale Community Pool in Dale City, everyone can swim for less than $5 (kids 2 and under are free). Graham Park Pool in Triangle (also less than $5 for everyone and free for ages 2 and under) features a zero-entry area, water sprayers, and dumping water buckets. Veterans Memorial Park Pool in Woodbridge has a slighter higher fee but features two-story slides, a graduated entry and water features for younger kids, and a bathhouse and concessions.
