See how immaturity and genius go hand-in-hand at the Long Island Children's Museum. Learn how certain behaviors teach your child about science, math, engineering, and literacy. For children 2 and older; free with admission to the museum.
Tuesday, February 14
Tiny Tots: Nature Discoveries — Oakdale
Kids 3-5 enjoy a love-themed afternoon of nature discovery, including a short walk (weather permitting), animal visits and crafts at Connetquot River State Park Preserve.
Mommy and Me Together Time — Plainview
Little ones 18 months and older can head to Once Upon a Treetop to create a one-of-a-kind handprinted craft to take home. Enjoy a yummy snack, as well. $25 per child.
Wednesday, February 15
Children are transported to a magical world while watching Princess Frog the Musical.
Princess Frog the Musical — Garden City
Children are transported into a magical fairyland of princes, a queen, and an enchanted frog. This musical is part of Long Island Children's Museum's new "Once Upon a Time...Exploring the World of Fairytales" exhibit. $9 plus the cost of admission to the museum.
Thursday, February 16
Barnes & Noble Weekly Storytime — Carle Place
Explore a new adventure and hear a new story each week. Storytime begins at 10am and includes a fun craft.
Friday, February 17
Music and More at the Dolphin Bookstore — Port Washington
Children 2-4 enjoy live guitar, poetry, stories, and more. Admission is $10; the event is from 11am to noon.
