Families all over Westchester deck their houses with Christmas lights, but certain special houses merit a visit all their own.

We’ve rounded up several of our favorite local Christmas light displays for 2024, perfect for getting your crew into the holiday spirit. While most of these displays are of the homegrown variety, you can find plenty of spectacular professional displays in the tristate area, too.

Westchester Christmas Light Displays in 2024

1. Keeler Christmas Lights Display — Putnam Valley

16 Luigi Road

This locally famous Christmas display was featured on the ABC show The Great Christmas Light Fight last year! Featuring nearly 1 million lights, this Putnam Valley home has been creating a beautiful display for the past few years. The lights are turned on every night from 6pm-10pm, with the hours extended to 5pm-11pm during Christmas week. They'll also be collecting donations for United for the Troops. Note: While there, if you have to turn your car around, they ask that you don't do so in their neighbors' driveways and to be respectful of all property.

2. Roy’s Christmas Land — Harrison

50 Parsons Street
Looking for a little Christmas nostalgia? This long-running display in Harrison has lots of antique pieces. Owner Roy Aletti has been decking out his house for more than 40 years. This video has a preview of what you’ll find.

3. Peppermint Christmas— New Rochelle

96 Hill Street
This display is celebrating its 29th year. Located just a few quick turns off I-95, you’ll find dazzling wreaths, decked-out trees, and lots of figurines, like Santa, teddy bears, and even Winnie the Pooh.

Kensico Dam Plaza

Holiday-light aficionados (and the cold averse) will appreciate this now-beloved tradition, which features the chance to drive through more than a mile of lights. Special features include the debut of a 125-foot pixel LED wall filled with thousands of animated lights that will illuminate scenes of the winter night sky. Admission is $35 per car and the display is open most days throughout the holiday season—just note you have to book tickets and time slots in advance. Check out our full write-up for more on what to expect.

5. Grand Holiday Illumination – Yonkers

Untermyer Gardens

This already beautiful park in Yonkers becomes even more stunning during the Christmas season thanks to its annual Grand Holiday Illumination lights display. Kicking off on Saturday, December 7, 2024, this year, walk through the display, which features some 100,000 lights on the Walled Garden. The best part? It’s completely free, with no reservations needed, and it runs every night, including Christmas and NYE.
