Space-Filled Fun in Orlando
With all the talk about Blue Origin and SpaceX, you know we had to create a space-themed itinerary for Orlando kids and families! Little astronauts and mini rocketeers in Orlando will have a great time with this roundup of cool spots.
1. Kennedy Space Center - Merritt Island
This is the No. 1 spot on our list because it's the ultimate attraction for kids and adults who love space! Learn about NASA at Gateway: Deep Space Launch Complex, where older kids can journey on Spaceport KSC and young kids can let loose at Planet Play. See the Atlantis orbiter, explore the Rocket Garden, train like a real astronaut, and enjoy much more.

New interactive experiences include those related to a lunar lander, rocket builder, Mars exploration, and a stellar playground.
3. Celestial Park at Epic Universe - Orlando
Celestial Park features the coolest, cosmic feel at the new Epic Universe. Discover a "world between worlds" at this beautiful, lush section of the Orlando theme park, featuring the Stardust Racers (dual-launch roller coaster set) and Constellation Carousel. Introduce kids to this country's rich history of space exploration by visiting the American Space Museum. Located on the aptly named Space Coast, this museum honors U.S. astronauts and aerospace innovators, teaches visitors about the early space program, and features exhibit halls about Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo spacecraft, women of space, Cape Canaveral, and more.
The Guardians of the Galaxy goes on an intergalactic chase through space and time at EPCOT.
6. Walt Disney World - Lake Buena Vista
We couldn't narrow down the individual Disney World parks because there are cool space-related attractions throughout the properties. We have to start with Mission: SPACE at Epcot, where you enjoy a simulated NASA-style mission to Mars or one that orbits Earth (as well as Spaceship Earth and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind rides). Other fun attractions include Space Mountain, Astro Orbiter, and Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom; Star Wars mania at Hollywood Studios; and more.
7. Emil Buehler Perpetual Trust Planetarium - Sanford
The Emil Buehler Perpetual Trust Planetarium located at Seminole State College of Florida offers live, interactive shows and full-dome video presentations. The planetarium is also home to one of the largest amateur astronomy societies in the Southeast! Check out the site for event updates.
