1. Wilson Skate Park – Chicago
The Chicago Park District off Wilson Avenue and Lakeshore Drive on the city’s Northside is open seven days a week. With five skating facilities, you’ll find rails, fun boxes, stairs, and a variety of different bowls to try. Wilson Skate Park is free and open year-round.

2. Grant Skate Park – Chicago
Grant Skate Park is located in Chicago’s Grant Park. As one of the largest skate parks in Chicago, Grant Skate Park has something for everyone. From obstacles to bowls and unique skate spaces, this park is new and upscale, giving skaters some trendy challenges to test out. You also can’t beat the incredible backdrop of the Chicago skyline. Grant Skate Park is free and open daily, year-round.
3. Burnham 31st Street Skate Park – Chicago
Located in Burnham Park, the outdoor skate park at Burnham 31st Street is a part of the Chicago Park District. With pretty views of the city, several different bowls, and rails, this skate park does not disappoint. You’ll find a variety of depths and challenges for every skating ability. This skate park is free and open year-round.
4. Logan Boulevard Skate Park – Chicago
Located in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood, the Logan Boulevard Skate Park is a part of the Chicago Park District. This cool skate park features a bowl corner, public art, rails, and fun boxes. The natural soundtrack of the Kennedy Expressway gives this park a gritty, urban feel that’s unlike any other. Logan Boulevard Skate Park is free and open year-round.
5. Skate Park – Elmhurst
The Elmhurst Park District has a beautiful newer skate park in York Commons Park. You’ll find ten ramps, two rails, bowls, a half-pipe, a pyramid, and a skate bench. There’s something for expert skaters as well as beginners at the Elmhurst Skate Park. Weather permitting, the Skate Park, Elmhurst is free and open year-round.

6. Audubon Skate Park – Elk Grove
Audubon Skate Park in Elk Grove is an impressive facility for skaters of all ages and abilities. Regardless of the weather, your skaters can enjoy skating indoors as well as outdoors. The indoor skate park isn’t heated so during those bitter cold days, the park may be cold if the temperatures drop too low. Admission is required and residents of Elk Grove will receive a discount.

7. Asylum Skate Park – Lake Bluff
The Asylum Skate Park in Lake Bluff is a great alternative to outdoor skating. When the weather is too cold or rainy, head to Lake Bluff for bowls, rails, and unique designs to keep you skating all year long. Admission is required to Asylum Skate Park.
