10 Fun Summer Olympics-Themed Snacks for Kids
The Summer Olympics are here! The Olympics, be it Summer Olympics or Winter Olympics, are like Christmas or the Super Bowl at my house, where we all gather together to celebrate and watch and cheer. There are so many cool sports to obsess over in the Summer Olympics: gymnastics, swimming, track & field, fencing, basketball, climbing, BMX freestyle, and even breakdancing. There's something for everyone. The only thing that could make it better? Cool snacks.
Here are 10 fun and easy Olympics-themed snacks that kids can help make and will adore devouring.
We also have 15 Ideas for a Fun Winter Olympics Party with Kids, if you're looking for more Olympics fun.

1. Olympic torch snacks
Fill ice cream cones with Cheetos or popcorn to represent the torch and flame.
There's enough sugar in these treats to fuel a marathon runner, but it's cool. You only eat them once every 4 years!
2. Twinkie pommel horses
Not the healthiest snack on our list, these are too cute not to include! All you need is Twinkies, thick pretzel rods, and KitKats. Use melted chocolate to stick the pretzels onto a KitKat broken in half, then press a Twinkie on top.
3. Olympic Jell-o pool
Blue Jello makes a lovely pool, and when it's partially set up, you can use fruit-flavored O-shaped cereal (like Fruit Loops, or similar) to create lanes and favorite action figures as the swimmers.

4. Olympic ring fruit tray
This is an easy and healthy hit with kids; simply ring paper plates with fruit that mimics the colors of the Olympic rings.
5. Soccer field cake
This is easy and feeds a crowd: Just frost a sheet cake the color of grass, and pipe on the field markings in white. Extra points (pun intended) if you add on these goals, balls, and players.

6. Fruit leather and cookie Olympic medals
Use fruit-by-the-foot, Twizzlers (sorry, I will choose them over Red Vines any day!), or any other rope-shaped candy to make the ribbon part of the Olympic medal, and the medal itself is a round golden sandwich cookie.

7. Olympic rower snacks
Chef and nutritionist Ellie Krieger came up with these adorable rowers: make celery canoes filled with peanut butter. Then add grapes as rowers and long skinny pretzel sticks as oars!
8. American flag cake
Root, root, root for the home team (USA!) with this super easy flag cake that takes no cooking and is fun for kids to help make. Watch our video here of how to make it with store-bought Angel food cake, whipped cream, strawberries, and blueberries. (Yes, you can make your own homemade rectangle cake, too.)
Heft these sweet treats right into your mouth!
9. Donut weights
Kids can assemble these weightlifter weights themselves. Just stick some mini chocolate-dipped donuts on either end of a pretzel stick!
10. Croissants
Toast the 2024 host city with a yummy French croissant. Oooh-la-la!
