Things to Do in Washington, DC This Weekend: St. Patrick's Day, Book Festival
It's mid-March in Washington, DC, and that can only mean it's time for St. Patrick's Day celebrations. Although the city's 50th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade along Constitution Avenue has been postponed, families can celebrate Irish culture with a parade in Gaithersburg with pipers, marching bands, and Irish delicacies. Meanwhile in Virginia green is the color of the day in Manassas. Both of those parades are on Saturday. There's also a St. Patrick's Day cupcake baking workshop in Sterling, Virginia this weekend if you fancy a treat before or after your favorite parade.
All events were, of course, scheduled long before the coronavirus outbreak in the United States, so pay attention to Mommy Poppins and other media alerts for potential cancellations.
