Long Island Fleece & Fiber Fair - Riverhead. The Long Island Fleece and Fiber Fair is the first of its kind in the region to bring together the diversity of fiber arts activities. Visitors will see and learn how local artisans craft wool and other animal fiber into beautiful finished pieces of clothing and art. The fair provides two days of demonstrations and hands-on learning that can be enjoyed by the whole family. This two-day event will be hosted at Hallockville Museum Farm.

Buttercup Day - Terryville. Free admission, petting zoo, kids games, face painting, music and more. Prizes, food and pony rides will also be at Buttercup Day.
Turtle Dance Party - Cold Spring Harbor. Dance it up in honor of World Turtle Day. Meet live turtles and celebrate with DJ Mike. Face painting and crafts. Dress in green for door prizes.
A Lesson in Gardening - Lawrence. Learn how to cultivate, seed, plant and tend a vegetable herb garden this summer season.
Turtle Time with Tyler - Bridgehampton. Kids will meet some turtles of the South Fork, learn where they live, and play a turtle game to learn how they stay safe. Visitors may even get to see native Painted Turtles sitting on the pond edge as they warm up in the sunlight. Ages 3-5.
Kids Fest - Wantagh. AMF Lanes is offering free bowling and shoe rental at the Kids Fest event.
The Night of Museums - Huntington. Art lovers of all ages are invited to the Heckscher Museum of Art out during the celebration of this international Night of Museums, an evening where museums around the world are open late free of charge. Musical performances, movie screening, poetry reading, family-friendly art activities will fill the Museum's galleries, along with a lively dance performance.
Train a Seal, Kiss a Lion - Riverhead (Aquarium). From now throughout September, Long Island Aquarium visitors will have a unique opportunity to get up close to seals and sea lions each Saturday.
A Year With Frog and Toad - Garden City. Arnold Lobel's well-loved characters hop from the page to the stage in the musical A Year with Frog and Toad.
Disney's The Little Mermaid - Lindenhurst. An adventurous little mermaid leaves her undersea realm for a 16th birthday excursion to the surface. She hopes to find the prince of her dreams, but first she must face the evil sea witch.

Bagels & Blue Whales - Cold Spring Harbor. In honor of Endangered Species Day, find out about the largest endangered specie on the planet, the Blue Whale. Bagels and crafts. RSVP required.
Beachcombing and Sandcastling - Bridgehampton. In this workshop, kids will learn how to identify the shells, feathers, seaweed, and other natural treasures they come upon, collect them, and then cast them in plaster of Paris to make their own seaside work of art to take home.
Heckscher Museum Family Hour - Huntington. Families experience the exhibition through close looking, lively conversation and hands-on gallery projects. Children are free.
Eleanor's Secret - Cinema for Kids - Huntington. A sumptuously animated movie about a magic library where all the characters from classic children’s books come alive, “Eleanor’s Secret” screens in the Cinema for Kids series.
Magic with Evan: The Teen Magician - Port Washington. Magic show for kids and adults. $10 registration fee.

Mommy/Daddy Me Anti-Gravity Yoga - Bellmore. Have your little one explore the Anti-Gravity hammocks while building basic motor skills. All kids AGY classes are structured to introduce basic life skills and build confidence in a light-hearted way while having fun.
Family Sundays at the Nassau County Museum of Art - Roslyn. Each Sunday, Nassau County Museum of Art offers a 1pm docent-led family walk-through of the exhibition and supervised art activities for the whole family beginning at 1:30pm. Special family-friendly gallery guides of the main exhibition are available in the galleries.
LEGO Club at CMEE - Bridgehampton. Your child can construct works of art using the thousands of LEGOS available at the Museum.
