Play Ball Sports Club in Boston lets you rent cages for batting practice, with rates starting at $35 for 30 minutes. Play Ball also offers one-on-one instruction in baseball and softball.

2. Boston Bowl - Dorchester

One of the best places to go bowling with Boston kids, Dorchester's Boston Bowl features outdoor batting cages. Boston Bowl has softball and baseball cages, with two speed settings. Pricing starts at $6 for 20 pitches, up to $20 for 100 pitches.

3. Kimball Farm - Westford

Among the mini golf and ziplines, Kimball Farm in Westford has baseball and softball cages at this sprawling family fun center. Open all day in the warm months, the Grand Slam batting cages are reasonably priced (75 pitches for only $14) and can be combined with other attractions. Kimball Farm has some pretty fantastic ice cream too!

4. Golf Country - Middleton

Middleton's Golf Counry features mini golf and a driving range as well as batting cages. And you can bundle mini golf with some batting practice, or even host a birthday party.

5. Max’s Country Golf - Tyngsboro

Another family fun spot with miniature golf and ice cream, Max's Country Golf has pitching machines that serve up baseballs and softballs at a variety of speeds. This spot, just south of Nashua's Pheasant Lane Mall has a driving range too, so mom and dad can work on their golf swing.

6. Cedarland - Haverhill

Haverhill's Cedarland has nine batting cages, which you can rent (half- or full-hour rentals at $25 or $45) or operate with tokens (12 pitches per token). Cedarland also has mini golf and a number of camps and afterschool programs.

7. Starland Sports Plex - Hanover

Starland sportsplex and fun park has plenty of indoor and outdoor fun, including six cages for baseball or softball. Three dollars will get your little slugger sixteen pitches. Starland also has bumper cars, laser tag, go karts, and more!

8. Jay-Gees - Methuen

Go for the batting practice, stay for the ice cream. Jay-Gees is a local fave for mini-golf, go karts, and more. This Methuen family fun center has six cages wiith variable speeds for softball and baseball, and 12 pitches are only 2 dollars.

9. Extra Innings - Watertown & Middleton

Extra Innings offers baseball and softball instruction, with leagues, camps, and even private coaching. Tunnel rental (with a pitching machine) begins at $27 an hour. And the facilities' HitTrax simulator can make your little slugger feel like they're in the big leagues!

10. Frozen ropes - Natick

Natick's Frozen Ropes has rentals for batting with a pitching machine; rates start at $35 for a half hour. Frozen Ropes also offers a full slate of classes, clinics, clubs, camps, and teams for softball and baseball. You can also host a birthday party here.

11. Sports Factory - Salisbury

The Sports Factory has an indoor facility where kids can get coached up in baseball and softball. Batting cage rental starts at $28 for a 30-minute session.

12. Impact Sports - Norwood

This softball facility offers batting cage rental, starting at $30 for half an hour. Note: rental of the pitching machine is extra, so warm up that pitching arm if you want to save a couple bucks!

13. Baseball unlimited - Waltham

Baseball unlimited has batting cage rental for softball and youth baseball. Rates begin at $36 for thirty minutes.

14. N.E. Hitting and Pitching Academy - Woburn

The New England Hitting and Pitching Academy offers a varirty of camps, clinics, and one-on-one instruction. The facility also has batting cage rental for softball and baseball, with pitching machines that range from 35 to 75 mph.
