Norwalk's Ultimate Block Party,  Norwalk

Stepping Stones Museum for Children, in partnership with Norwalk ACTS, is hosting Norwalk’s Ultimate Block Party is a free outdoor event just outside the museum in Mathews Park that will feature games, live music, animals, educational activities and fun for the entire family. Outdoors so please dress appropriately.

Dogwood Festival, Fairfield
Friday, May 6 - Sunday May 8
For 80 years and counting, members of Greenfield Hill Congregational Church and thousands across Fairfield County have celebrated the beauty of spring with the Dogwood Festival. The Dogwood Festival offers a variety of entertainment for all ages featuring local history and culture. Admission is FREE and proceeds benefit charities near and far.

Curious George Live: The Golden Meatball, Ridgefield
Saturday, May 7

Determined to help his friend, George goes on a mission to enter the Chef’s meatballs in the world-famous Golden Meatball Contest…in Rome. With every swing and flip, George takes the audience through a fun-filled adventure in which he learns more about Rome…and meatballs…and the “secret ingredient” to cooking!

Mother's Day at the Mystic Aquarium, Mystic

Kids Festival Ridgefield
Saturday, May 7

Activities include crafts, a Gaga pit, carnival games, air-brush tattoos, face painting, and an inflatable fun area featuring a bounce house, obstacle course, rock-climbing wall, and bungee jump. Families will be able to explore many local businesses which cater to kids, receive a free Amber Alert I.D., and hear music from the Ridgefield School of Rock.

Community Free Day at the Florence Griswold Museum, Old Lyme
Saturday, May 7

Visitors can tour the art exhibitions and historic Florence Griswold House for free. Balloon art, magic shows, family tours are all part of the day.

Donkey and Mule Festival at Bishop's Orchards, Guilford
Saturday May 7

There will be over 20 classes throughout the day, including halter, showmanship, coon jumping, costume, driving, riding, and obstacles. Along with the Donkey & Mule Show, wagon rides will be running throughout the day on a guided tour of the orchard with beautiful views of the apple trees in blossom. FREE

Festival of the Arts at Quassy Amusement Park, Middlebury
Saturday, May 7

Sidewalk chalk art competition for elementary, middle and high school teams. Jazz bands will be performing in the Carousel Theatre and there will be a trash can art competition.

The Hindley Happening, Darien

The event includes carnival rides, games, cotton candy and snow cones, as well as a silent auction that includes donations from local merchants and individuals that range from fabulous vacations to personal training sessions to sporting event tickets.

Meet the latest additions to the Heckscher Farm family at Spring on the Farm. Watch as their flock of sheep gets its annual shearing and learn about what happens with their wooly coats. See firsthand how to turn wool into felt or yarn, among a variety of other hands-on demonstrations. There will be activities for all ages including storytelling, face painting, crafts, a plant and herb sale, and more.

Nighttime Bio-Blitz, Wilton

This is your chance to participate in collecting important data that will help WNC and Weir Farm create a snapshot of biodiversity in the area. The evening begins with a live owl presentation before attendees hunt for moths and other nighttime insects with WNC Staff.

Fish Stocking Workshop at Smyrski Farm, New Milford
