Easy Kid-Friendly Snack Ideas To Make Any Day Feel Special
These recipes are imagined by Mommy Poppins, but sponsored by The Laughing Cow® cheese.
Pinterest is packed with adorable snack ideas for kids, but let’s get real—ain’t nobody got time for that. And while it’s true that kids fall for presentation, that doesn’t mean you have to make everything look like an adorable panda/Minion/Star Wars icon to get them to eat it. The truth is, children love to feel grown-up, and it’s super easy to make kid-friendly snacks look like fancy party foods in a matter of seconds. Any afternoon can feel like a special occasion with these easy ideas that don’t just look and taste yummy, but can inspire even your pickiest eater to try something new.

Choosey Eaters' Cheese Plate
Kids love a variety of finger foods laid out on a fancy platter, and a cheese plate gives you the chance to serve just about anything you want them to try. Soft, spreadable cheese allows kids to make their own creations with crackers, apple slices and celery. And don’t be afraid to add some new tastes and textures to the mix—the fun presentation might just encourage some experimentation.

Fancy Finger Sandwiches
Afternoon tea is one of our favorite indulgences, but there's no need to wait for a special occasion to cut sandwiches into dainty little triangles. You can make tea sandwiches out of any ingredients you have on hand. We like cheese and radish, cucumber, jelly or salmon, but apple and ham is yummy, too.

Kiddie Canapés
What’s more grown-up than a plate of pretty little canapés? Prepare a mix of sweet and savory bites with berries, dried fruit, pepperoni, peppers, or apple and honey, on top of a swirl of soft cheese.
These recipes were inspired by an event I attended with The Laughing Cow, where I learned how to make these stop-motion food videos (it’s super easy using the Vine app) and got the idea for a fancy cheese plate for kids. I made all of the above snacks with The Laughing Cow spreadable cheeses, but you could use cream cheese or another type of cheese if you prefer.
