Lights, camera, Academy Museum!
Where else would you find the ultimate museum devoted to the art of making movies but in the moviemaking capital of the world?
Galleries and exhibitions reveal the artistry, technological wonders, and sheer magic that contribute to bringing movies to life on the big screen.
Upcoming limited-run exhibitions will explore color as a cinematic tool and look at envisioned futures as seen through a cyberpunk lens.
The museum offers plenty of opportunities to get your movie fix, with daily screenings in two state-of-the-art theatres, including weekly Family Matinees and monthly accommodative screenings.
And coming back by popular demand: the Pixar Toy Story 3D Zoetrope!
Museum admission is free for youth ages 17 and under.
