GIVEAWAY! Tickets to "The Nutcracker" at South Orange Performing Arts Center

The holiday season without a performance of "The Nutcracker" would be very sad indeed--you might as well forget the tree and the decorations and tell your kids the real deal about you-know-who. That's why we'd like to make sure that two of our readers' families get a chance to see this very special show at one of our favorite venues--South Orange Performing Arts Center. Read on to find out how to enter to win one of two family 4-packs of tickets!

E.A. Hoffman's fairy tale, The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, first premiered in 1892 with music by Peter Tchaikovsky. The New York Theater Ballet's touring production, choreographed by Keith Michael and showing at SOPAC for one night only, is the only hour-long Nutcracker presented by a professional troupe in the metro area. This makes it perfectly suited to the attention span of younger audience members, yet sophisticated enough for adults.

"The Nutcracker" will be performed at the South Orange Performing Arts Center on Sunday, December 4 at 3pm and 7pm. Tickets are $30-$40 for the general public and can be purchased here. Mommy Poppins will be giving away two (2) free family 4-packs of tickets to the 7pm performance.

The Prize: 2 family four-packs of tickets to "The Nutcracker", 7pm performance on Sunday December 4.

How to Enter: To enter the contest, you must be a Mommy Poppins subscriber; subscribe here. Then leave a comment below telling us why you would like to take your kids to see "The Nutcracker". If you would like an extra entry into the contest, Like us on Facebook and leave an additional comment telling us that you did. Comments must be entered by 5pm on Sunday, November 20. Two winners will be drawn at random and notified on Monday, November 21. Please leave your correct email address (one that you check frequently) when you leave your comment because that is the only way we will be able to reach you. If you do not respond to our email notification within 48 hours, another winner will be drawn. Email addresses of entrants will not be collected, sold or otherwise abused.
