Explore the reawakened village of Historic Richmond Town. Costumed historical interpreters demonstrate housekeeping chores as they were managed before modern conveniences.

Your ticket gives you access to the open village with select buildings open for self-guided tours and demonstration areas showcasing the lived experiences of everyday people.

At the Guyon-Lake-Tysen House, see demonstrations of 19th-century laundry with water warmed over an open fire. Try your hand at churning butter, and explore a home rich in Staten Island history. In the General Store, the wares of a small-town shop illustrate comforts and remedies sought out by Americans before the dawn of the superstore. Historical Interpreters demonstrate soap-making, with all-natural ingredients mixed with lavender. In the yard, a dusty rug takes a beating, aided by visitors.

Social distancing and mask-wearing are required.
