Sunday Studio at MOCA
Sunday Studio at MOCA Geffen offers hands-on fun for everyone!
At MOCA’s party for art lovers of all stripes. Museum guests can make cool art, join a visible mending workshop, talk about art with student educators, and join the family dance party.
About the Visible Mending Workshop:
Participants bring their own clothes that require some TLC and learn how to use a speedweave, a tool for repairing holes in fabric. With hands-on demonstrations and instructions, each participant can gain the confidence to mend their own garment, transforming it from worn to adorned.
As a special bonus, all attendees will receive a speedweave kit to take home, so they can continue their mending journey after the workshop.
Event is free; food and drinks are available for purchase.
