LA Zoo Walk for the Wild
Walk for the Wild is a non-competitive fitness and fundraising walk through the Zoo. This year's event is inspired by giraffes, which are declining in the wild due to poaching and habitat loss.
Walkers gather for a 2.2 mile trek around the Zoo grounds prior to its opening, passing by many favorite exhibits, including Chimpanzees of Mahale Mountain, Elephants of Asia, and Red Ape Rain Forest, among others.
At the completion of the walk, participants gather at the Walk for the Wild Village to relax and recharge from the morning's event with refreshments, a DJ dance party, and commemorative photo booth.
Schedule:
6am: Check in
7:15am: Opening Ceremony
7:30am: Walk starts
Post-Walk activities go until 9:45am
Registration includes entrance to the Walk for the Wild event, free parking in the Los Angeles Zoo’s main parking lot, and access to the Walk for the Wild Village featuring light refreshments, a DJ dance party, and complimentary photo booth. Please note the registration fee does not include Zoo admission beyond the walk..
Walk for the Wild is an all-ages event. Fundraisers for registrants younger than 13 must be managed by the primary account holder (13 or older). Children under the age of 2 are free.
