The Ocean Institute on Dana Point hosts the annual Maritime Festival (you probably used to know it by the name Tall Ships Festival!).
Kids can tour tall ships, experience a mermaid breakfast, meet pirates, hear sea chantey concerts (and other live music), take part in cannon battles at sea, and more.
Free areas at the Festival include pirate & historical reenactments, Peddler's Village, Seafarer's Landing, and Pirate Camp & Beer Garden. Some activities within those areas may charge a fee.
A Festival Adventure Pass gives access to three main areas of the festival: Ocean Institute’s Main Campus, MJSLC tall ship tours, and Lil’ Lads Landing
Ticketed experiences include cannon battles, mermaid breakfast, pirate school and more.
Additional Details and ticket information are on the website.
