The chain of luxurious spa/gyms has a childcare option available to members while they're working out; the childcare is not included in the membership price, and the gym does not share what the charges for the program are over the phone. We're guessing that, like most things at Equinox, it's pretty pricey.

Pretty much the polar opposite of Equinox, YMCA has even more locations in the LA area and is quite open about its childcare costs: FREE. There are so many great reasons to join your local YMCA - including after school care, swimming lessons, day camps, and overnight camps (and that's without even counting the great theme song!) - and free childcare for parents while they work out is just one more. Infants are restricted to one free hour per day, and kids over the age of one are limited to two free hours per day - plenty of time for a good workout.
