Autumn is such a beautiful time of year to enjoy the outdoors in the Delaware Valley. The temperature is cooler, skies are clear and the changing leaves create a spectacular backdrop to any event. Fortunately, there are so many opportunities to celebrate the season - whether it is attending a harvest festival in your community, or taking a drive to a farm or orchard. We have rounded up a list of some of the numerous events taking place this fall, including hayrides, pumpkin patches, scarecrow-building, live entertainment, and cider donuts! Spruce Street Harbor Park's Fall Fest- Philadelphia, PA
September 14-24, 2017
Get into the spirit of the fall season with a visit to Spruce Street Harbor Park. Visitors can expect arts and crafts, pumpkin carving, and live music. Be sure to try some pumpkin flavored treats such as ice cream, funnel cake, and even pretzels!
Morris Arboretum Fall Festival- Philadelphia, PA
October 7-8, 2017
Enjoy pumpkin painting, build your own scarecrow, live entertainment, animal visits, a special Lego activity, and more. While you're there, be sure to visit the special Scarecrow Walk & Design Contest on display through October 31.
Reading Terminal Harvest Festival-Philadelphia, PA

Delicious Fall foods take center stage at this annual event. Filbert Street is decorated just like an urban farm with hay bales and corn stalks, real farm tractor rides, a pumpkin patch, and an abundance of edible treats.

Peddler's Village Scarecrow Competition & Display- Lahaska, PA

Silly, spooky, and oh-so-creative scarecrows will be on display throughout Peddler’s Village. Kids will enjoy wandering through the shopping areas looking for scarecrows and voting for their favorites in different categories. The annual Scarecrow Festival takes place September 16 & 17, complete with tasty treats and live entertainment.

Hellerick's Family Farm - Doylestown, PA
September 16- October 31, 2017
Open from 10 AM– 6 PM daily, Hellerick’s charges one admission fee for their Adventure Farm Fun Area. This includes hayrides, a corn maze, pumpkin rolling, a 70-foot slide, tractor tire mountain, and more. Pick your own pumpkins are available for an additional fee. Weekend evening activities include hayrides, flashlight corn maze, and campfire fun.
Shady Brook Farm Pumpkin Fest- Yardley, PA

Shady Brook Farm is open daily 11 AM-5 PM (weather permitting). One price admission to Shady Brook’s Festival includes hayrides to the pick-your-own pumpkin fields, inflatable attractions, a giant corn maze, spider web climb, playground, barnyard animals, and more. Enjoy live entertainment on weekends as well.
