Bordered by longtime family hot spots Park Slope and Bay Ridge, the more affordable Sunset Park is becoming a popular place to raise kids. Its 25-acre namesake green space has lots of amenities and spectacular views, plus the new waterfront Bush Terminal Park offers a promenade along New York Bay. While there aren't a ton of kid-centric businesses in Sunset Park, you will find a few indoor play spaces and the recently renovated Melody Lanes bowling alley. And the historic Green-Wood Cemetery is a surprisingly serene place to explore with kids, and even hosts annual family events.
Our Sunset Park Family Guide highlights the very best places to eat, play and experience with kids in the neighborhood. We hope you enjoy getting to know the area with your family.
