Get creative this summer at the KMA with hands-on art workshops exploring various materials and craft traditions. Each workshop is divided into two age groups and includes gallery visits, lunch time in the Museum’s Sculpture Garden, and art projects inspired by the works on view.

  • July 20-Fantastical Textile Worlds: Create shadow boxes with fabric, yarn, and other textile materials, inspired by Jeila Gueramian’s installation, Let’s Step Inside.
  • July 27-Reimagined Architecture: Construct architectural and geometric forms using wood and paint, inspired by Remy Jungerman’s sculptural works.
  • August 3-Unconventional Weaving: Experiment with unusual looms, paper weaving, and found materials to create woven artworks in response to works by Faig Ahmed and Dinh Q. Lê.
  • August 10-Shadows and Patterns: Explore designs and patterns with projects including cut-paper light installations and mosaic artworks, as seen in the work of Anila Quayyum Agha and Shirin Hosseinvand.

Single workshop: Members $50. Non-members $60.
Series of four: Members $175. Non-members $215.
