All month long we have been featuring the charming town of Eastchester and it’s villages Tuckahoe and Bronxville, highlighting the best things to do, places to shop and family-friendly restaurants to visit. We wrap up our month long focus on Eastchester with a look at the best places to play in the area. In a town full of parks, gyms, libraries and more, families needn’t worry about finding something fun and educational to do all year round. Read on for our top picks on where to play and where to learn in this great town!

Kidville

Kidville offers exciting classes and programs, birthday party and open play space hours for both members and non-members alike. Sign up for a free trial class with your little one to experience the fun first-hand, or take advantage of drop-in hours at open gym to tire them out before nap-time.

Parks & Playgrounds
Eastchester and its villages have plenty of beautiful parks and playgrounds, where children and families can enjoy hours of endless fun while taking advantage of the nice weather. Plan a picnic, let the kids slide & swing, or just sit and relax at any of these awesome recreational spots.

Public Libraries
Eastchester, Tuckahoe and Bronxville Public Libraries all offer amazing children’s programming such as special events, weekly programs and arts and crafts. In addition to scheduled events, my daughter loves going to the library to play and read books when we have some downtime.

Music lovers of every level can take a class at one of the most premier and reputable music institutions in Westchester. They are committed to developing each student’s creativity, intellect, imagination and humanity through the art of music.

Tuckahoe Community Center

This family-friendly venue has it all. Choose from programs such as yoga, basketball or defensive driving. The center also hosts private parties, special events and workshops.

Lake Isle Country Club
660 White Plains Road
Lake Isle is the town owned country club. Facilities include five swimming pools, a par 70,18 hole championship golf course,a snack bar and full service restaurant. Lake Isle is now also home to Sportime, a state-of-the-art 5,000 square foot clubhouse featuring eight indoor har-tru (green synthetic clay) tennis courts. Sportime is home to tennis legend John McEnroe's acclaimed Tennis Academy, where world-class teaching professionals provide lessons for kids and adults alike. Lake Isle's membership rates for residents are extremely reasonable when compared to those at privately owned facilities, and membership is also available to non-residents at a higher rate.
