Get ready to “O-FISH-ally" welcome 2026 at the Long Island Children's Museum with a countdown to noon and more events. 

This year’s event will be making an intergalactic leap with activities starting at 11am, the addition of a third ball drop for visitors to choose from (noon, 2 and 4 pm).

• Choose your countdown ball drop and join the fun! Every guest gets a mini confetti popper to add to the excitement as we ring in the New Year.
• Get ready to shine like a sea star on the dance floor with our live DJ. It’s the perfect way to groove into the new year!
• Reel in the fun for the new year by designing your own necklace featuring your catch of the day.
• Shake things up in 2026 with an awesome octopus noisemaker.
• Plus, more fun crafts and activities inspired by our new permanent exhibit, Saltwater Stories: We Need the Sea & the Sea Needs Me or Snowflake Sock Skating.

Event price: $20/ per person (includes admission, all activities and personal confetti popper for every family member).
