2025 Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival
- see all dates
Except July 4, 2025.
All the world's a stage, including Griffith Park.
Free Shakespeare returns to Griffith Park for a full summer of theater under the stars. This year the festival puts on two shows: Love's Labour's Lost (starting June 25) and Doctor Faustus (opening August 6).
The production is back at its regular spot at the Old LA Zoo Picnic Area while construction continues on the new Griffth Park Stage. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. The area closest to the stage is reserved for blankets only, while a little farther back, guests can bring low-seat beach chairs.
Guests can have a reserved seat waiting for them as a thank you for a $60 donation. Reserved seats are in a special elevated section with a great view of the stage.
Be advised: although audience members of all ages are welcome and encouraged to come, Shakespeare’s plays all deal with the adult themes that invariably arise in human relationships, and include allusions to both sexuality and violence. This production contains no nudity nor graphic violence. It does however include shameless flirting, double entendres, and may make you want to get up and dance.
