In celebration of its third anniversary, the Academy Museum offers complimentary general admission on September 29, 2024.

Advance ticket reservations are encouraged, but not required. Museum members receive priority entry. Standby entry is available on a first come, first served basis.

Visitors receive free admission to Charlie Chaplin's silent comedy The Gold Rush at 2pm. Additional fun includes music, tacos from Fanny's, fruit vendors on The Walt Disney Company Piazza, and a photo booth in the Sidney Poitier Grand Lobby.

From 10:30am - 3:30pm, there is a free Drop-In Tactile Filmmaking Workshop in the Shirley Temple Education Studio on the Lower Level lobby, where museum guests can add their unique marks to a community-created, direct-on-film animation. During this time there is also a keychain making station in the Lower Level Lobby.

Also, starting Sunday, the Pixar Toy Story 3D Zoetrope is back on display!
