It's the Year of the Horse (and a whole lotta other creatures) at the LA Zoo.

During the its Lunar New Year celebration, the zoo spotlights the Grevy’s zebra and other animals of the Chinese zodiac.

Event highlights:

  • Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese dance performances by Asian Arts Talents Foundation at 10:45am, 11:4am, 1:45pm, and 2:45pm..
  • Calligraphy demonstration and Chinese Fan decorating from 10am to 4pm
  • a Wall of Well Wishes where guests can share their hopes and dreams for the New Year
  • Special Animal Feedings
  • Education Stations
  • Year of the Horse photo op

Many animals of the 12-year Chinese zodiac can be found at the Zoo. Guests can  view and take a photo of the Zoo-diac Tour map in the Zoo’s Entry Plaza to find them all during their visit
