Community Center Pool in Winter Park offers several exciting attractions for kids.
Fun Public Swimming Pools Near Orlando
1. Bob Makinson Aquatic Center — Kissimmee
Opens May 25, 2024; open daily June 1-August 2; weekends only August 3-September 2
Bob Makinson Aquatic Center features a zero-entry swimming pool with a water playground, a 150-foot waterslide, and an eight-lane lap pool with two diving boards. Admission is $5 per person (ages 2 and younger free). Private and group swimming lessons are offered for all ages.
2. Cady Way Pool — Winter Park
Open May 25, 2024; open Monday-Friday 9am to 2pm and Sunday noon to 6pm for public swimming (closed Saturdays)
Cady Way Park includes a large swimming pool open to Winter Park residents and non-residents. Resident admission is $3 per person; non-residents pay $6 per person. Seasonal pool passes are available. Additional park amenities include a playground, tennis courts, softball fields, and nature trail.
3. Chris Lyle Aquatic Center — St. Cloud
Family and leisure swim times vary per day; please check the Aquatic Center's website for hours
Relax in a poolside lounge chair while the kids swim in the pool and play in the lakefront splash pad at the Chris Lyle Aquatic Center. Aqua-fit classes and private pool rentals are available.
4. Clermont ARC Aquatics — Clermont
Open daily May 28-August 11; weekends only May 4-26 & August 17-October 6
The Clermont Arts & Recreation Center (ARC) features a large L-shaped swimming pool with a maximum depth of 6 feet, as well as a wading pool for little ones. Public pool admission is $2 for residents and $3 for non-residents. Kids can participate in swim lessons or have a swim party at the pool.
5. Community Center Pool — Winter Park
Open Monday-Friday from 4pm to 7pm and Saturday from noon to 6pm for public swimming (closed Sundays)
This zero-depth entry pool features 25-yard lap lanes and interactive splash play elements for kids. The pool is open year-round and heated from October to April. Resident admission is $3 per person; non-residents pay $6 per person. Seasonal passes are also available.
6. James R. Smith Pool — Orlando
Open daily for open swim, Monday-Thursday 12:30pm-4:30pm, Saturday & Sunday 12:30pm-5pm
This City of Orlando pool features a water slide and splash elements. Pool activities include water aerobics, swim lessons, and a swim team.

The Ocoee Family Aquatic Center features a zero-entry pool and interactive features.
7. Ocoee Family Aquatic Center — Ocoee
Open daily May 27-August 11 from noon to 6pm
This aquatic facility includes a zero-entry pool, interactive play features, and a maximum depth of 4 feet. Both private and group swimming lessons are offered, as well as pool party rentals. Admission fees are $2 for adults and $1 for children and seniors.
8. Oviedo Aquatic Facility — Oviedo
Splash Zone is open for weekend sessions; lap pool is open daily
Kids love the splash zone at the Oviedo Aquatic Facility, complete with water slides and interactive play features. There is also a larger Olympic-sized swimming pool, concession stand, playground, indoor rock climbing wall, trailhead, and indoor and outdoor basketball courts. Admission is $8 for Oviedo residents and $10 for non-residents. Day passes and memberships are available.
9. Turkey Lake Pool — Orlando
Open daily from Memorial Day through October for open swim from noon-6pm
Bill Frederick Park, also known as Turkey Lake Park, features a large swimming pool open summers for public swim. City residents swim for free and non-residents pay $4. Park entry fees apply as well ($5 per car). Additional park amenities include nature trails, two playgrounds, volleyball, disc golf, animal farm, and even a dedicated drone flying area.
10. Westmonte Recreation Center — Altamonte Springs
Open daily, Monday-Thursday 10am-4pm, Friday 10am-6pm, Saturday & Sunday 10am-4pm
The Westmonte Recreation Center offers year-round aquatic programs and activities. The outdoor public pool includes interactive water play features and a zero-depth entry. Aquatic activities include water fitness classes, swim lessons, and swim teams. Pool admission is $5 per visit (ages 3 and younger free). Memberships are available.
