Shakespeare by the Sea 2024
- see all dates
Also on June 23, 2024; July 7, 2024; July 10, 2024; July 11, 2024.
Shakespeare by the Sea returns for another season of free outdoor theatre.
The 2024 season opens with performances of Cardenio at Long Beach's Recreation Park.
Shakespeare by the Sea is back this summer at a variety of locations throughout the OC and LA area. The two plays presented are Cardenio: Double Falsehood (a new adaptation of a play by Shakespeare and John Fletcher) and Henry IV: Falstaff & The Boy Who Would be King.(a new adaptation combing Henry IV Parts 1 and 2)
All performances are admission free. No tickets or reservations required.
Bench seating available, or set up chairs or blankets on the side.
Please note: The evening is usually very chilly, as the location is right on the ocean (think winter wear: hats, scarves, coats).
Shakespeare by the Sea performs at parks all over the city- see their 2024 performance schedule for more information on dates, times, and places.
