All aboard for the Lego Shipbuilding Contest! 

Lego enthusiasts are invited to the Los Angeles Maritime Museum for its annual Lego Shipbuilding Contest. Participants use their imaginations to build ships out of Lego blocks supplied by the museum. 

The event is free, and builders of all ages and abilities are welcome.

The building times are from 10am to 2pm, but particpants do not need to stay the entire time.  Prizes are awarded in different age groups.  Winners who are not present receive their prizes via US mail.

There is also a non-competitive section where builders can construct a famous US Naval ship from a kit.

Please note that ships are built with Legos supplied by the museum and may not be taken home. All ships and Lego are the property of the museum.
