City of Santa Monica Woodlawn Cemetery, Mausoleum & Mortuary ring in the holiday season with the Tree of Life / Holiday Open House.

This year’s event features special performances by the John Adams Middle School Choir,  a holiday movie on the big screen, light refreshments and photos with Santa Claus.

Guests can personalize and decorate ornaments in honor of Loved Ones who have passed away and place them on the 11-foot Tree of Life in the Mausoleum. Woodlawn provides the ornaments and craft decorations. (Bring wallet sized photocopies of loved ones photos if you wish to use them in your design).

The community is also invited to submit photos of departed Loved Ones accompanied with a brief memorial message for the “In Memoriam” slideshow presentation. Submissions should be brought to the office (photocopies only, not original photographs) or emailed by December 2.

Woodlawn Cemetery is an official drop-off site of the Toys for Tots toy donation drive through December 15. (toy donations can be brought to the event.)
