Totowa and West Paterson Fire Department Holiday Parade
The Totowa Borough Fire Department and the West Paterson Fire Department host the annual Holiday Parade of Lights, which features police vehicles, private business vehicles, and other various emergency service vehicles all decorated in holiday lights.
Numerous parade floats feature various bands that play holiday music throughout the parade as well.
The only requirements of participants are to have some form of holiday lights on your vehicle and to bring an unopened children's toy for a boy or a girl upon check in.
During the parade, there is a vehicle dedicated to picking up toys from the thousands of spectators who wish to donate a toy along the route.
Once all of the toys are collected, they are donated to St. Joseph's Children's Hospital.
