Sourland Mountain Festival
The Sourland Mountain Festival is hosted by the Sourland Conservancy, a non-profit organization that works to protect the Sourland Mountain region. Meet and greet the domestic and native animals of the Sourland. Little ones can take part in a scavenger hunt.
Music, crafts and foot vendors round out the fun.
Take a stroll down History Lane. Local historians and geologists are on hand to share their knowledge and answer your questions about the local area. Booths are manned by naturalists, conservationists, and those dedicated to preserving and enjoying the beautiful Sourland region. They are offering information, demonstrations, and hands-on activities.
The 90-square-mile Sourland region is home to the largest contiguous forest in Central New Jersey. The sparsely populated area includes parts of Somerset, Hunterdon and Mercer counties, and encompasses a complex ecosystem of forest, wetlands and grasslands.
